Job Description



Vivo Energy is seeking a Brand and Retail/B2C Lubricants Category Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving Lubricants sales across all Retail Station and through distributors by executing strategic product marketing and commercial plans. He/She will ensure the delivery of the annual Lubricants plan on volume and margin and will be responsible for developing plans and executing projects and initiatives that support the broader short and long-term marketing strategy.


Responsibilities Principal Accountabilities:
Retail / B2C Lubricants Category Management

- Accountable for Retail / B2C lubricants Pamp;L

- Develop and execute country marketing category plan

- Monitor lubricants marketing initiatives in Retail / B2C.

- Manage the lubricants distributors and resellers

- Interface with B2B/B2C Lubricants pricing

- Analyze and report on product performance and market trends

- Manage relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal resources.
- Collaborate with Sales amp;Operations team to ensure strong operational standards and performance within the branded lube bay network

- Ensure the implementation of the tailor-made lubricant training modules for Retail.

- Monitors amp; tracks country KPI's, takes corrective actions


Lubricants Brand Management:

Marketing Plan

  • Create and execute the brand strategies and marketing plans for the brands, including managing both the existing product portfolio and new product launches.
  • Lead the strategic planning process for the assigned brands based on key consumer insights to enhance current portfolio and improve communication with consumers.
  • Implement the marketing plans by working with internal and external suppliers to deliver in a timely manner and on budget.

Brand

  • Maintain brand integrity across product lines, advertising, and all other internal and external communication as it pertains to assigned brand.
  • Manage brand guidelines to ensure all vendors and internal audiences follow them and update them as necessary.

PLM

  • Lead the Marketing lifecycle process for designated brand(s).
  • Prepare marketing objectives and schedules for all phases of product solicitation and introduction to market


Media/Advertising

  • Works closely with all relevant Media departments to integrate media mix plans.
  • Develop and execute national advertising and promotional activities


Research

  • Lead insight gathering research into consumers and competitive category
  • Produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
  • Work closely with distribution partners and Marketing Research companies


Financials

  • Develop reports for management.
  • Monitor and analyze business performance
  • Manage budgets and financial related to marketing campaigns.


Requirements

  • Masters degree in sales, Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in brand and marketing management
  • Proven experience as Brand Manager / Marketing role in an FMCG environment
  • Strong understanding of retail and commercial lubricants market.
  • Strong background in merchandising, purchasing, financial analysis and stock control
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strategic thinker and creative marketer.
  • Result oriented and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and marketing software.
