Job Description


Vivo Energy Madagascar is looking for a Receipting amp; Allocations Officer to join their dynamic team. As the Receipting amp; Allocations Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and efficiently. You will also be responsible for providing a positive customer experience by managing customer queries and ensuring that all payments received are allocated appropriately (correct amount, correct customer account and applied against the correct invoices), in full compliance with Group/Company Treasury/Credit guidelines and policies at all times.


Responsibilities
  • Confirming and posting receipts from customers and suppliers after all required checks
  • Allocating payments and receipts to customer accounts
  • Ensuring that the Cash Register is reconciled on a daily basis
  • Ensuring that unallocated cash and unapplied cash are reviewed on a weekly basis and shared with the Treasurer amp; Credit Controller
  • Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or queries related to receipts and allocations
  • Assisting the finance team in clearing outstanding bank reconciliation items on a daily basis
  • Liaising with other departments and stakeholders to resolve queries related to receipts and allocations
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
  • Track all drafts received from customers from physical receipt to credit in VE bank accounts (update drafts record)
  • Ensuring cash orders are released in line with the MoA on a timely basis
  • Ensuring proper filing of all documents pertaining to cash tasks
  • Ensure that all required balance sheet reconciliations / Goal Zero reports are provided as per agreed deadlines each month
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures

Requirements

  • A master's degree in accounting, finance, ecomomics
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software
  • Sound knowledge of ERPs and Microsoft Excel tools
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic Accounting Knowledge / Mathematics
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
