We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will coordinate and ensure timely and efficient deliveries (fuel and lubricants) to our customers in the zone you will be in charge, contributing to stock reconciliations and invoicing to customers. The successful candidate will ensure the strict application of any national and global norms and standard for any operations involving Shell products in every depot.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute the delivery of fuel and lubricants to our customers
- Assign all loading, delivery, and journey management documents to transporters or to customers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products
- Monitor loading and delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery and proactively liaise with the Scheduler for any delays or issues that may arise
- Ensure delivery confirmations for all depots, for an efficient stock reconciliation
- Maintain accurate and timely closing
- Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure their needs are being met and any issues are being addressed promptly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and work with the team to prepare reports
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations
- First point of contact for audits
- Contribute to "safe to operate controls" for the trucks
- Support the team with ad-hoc tasks and back up as needed.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Transport/Logistics, Engineering degree of equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in dispatch or logistics operations
- Advances MS Excel level
- Familiarity with transportation management systems
- Good knowledge of oil products transport
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
