iDE is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a Human-Centered Design amp; Social Behaviour Change Manager (HCD amp; SBC Manager) for an anticipated four and half year USAID-funded Madagascar Urban Sanitation Activity (MUSA) programme. This project aims to support the Government of Madagascar (GoM) to lead the sector and improve access to and use of sanitation products services in selected urban and peri-urban areas by strengthening the enabling environment for sanitation, improving the supply of and demand for sanitation products and services and improving key behaviours that contribute to the activity objectives. iDE is also pursuing other development project or program opportunities in Madagascar, notably in the WASH and Agriculture sector (Other Projects/Programs).

Scope of Work
This position is based at the iDE office in Madagascar and reports to the Chief of Party (COP) and Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) of the MUSA Programme. The HCD amp; SBC Manager is a key member of the iDE Madagascar Program team responsible for the Improved WASH Behaviour Component of the MUSA Programme, ensuring that design thinking, human-centered design and social behaviour change strategies are being used at all stages of the project.
We are looking for a HCD designer and SBC strategist, comfortable leading innovation projects, managing client relationships, and, most importantly, bringing innovation methodologies, ideas and ways of working to a broader team, including iDE’s implementation partners for MUSA. The HCD amp; SBC Manager will be supported by iDE’s Global Innovation Lab, which is a global team of 13 specialists, including designers, researchers and changemakers working on a broad range of projects with a social innovation focus in Asia and Africa.

Ce projet vise à aider le gouvernement de Madagascar (GoM) à gérer le secteur et à améliorer l'accès et l'utilisation des services et produits d'assainissement dans certaines zones urbaines et périurbaines. Ce programme cherche à développer un environnement propice à l'assainissement, en améliorant l'offre et la demande des produits et services d'assainissement et en influant sur les comportements humains et sociaux liés à l’hygiène.
